Project Udaan, MAKUSA’s second initiative, is advisory and guidance
oriented, providing children with the right opportunities, direction,
and encouragement to reach their fullest potential. Udaan empowers
children and youth to dream and equips them with the skills and
confidence needed to pursue those dreams.

Objectives
Building Strong Foundations
Our journey began with a joyful Summer Reading Camp, designed to strengthen literacy skills and
instil a love for books. With overwhelming enthusiasm and progress from children, the program has
now grown into a weekly reading initiative, integrated into partner schools’ curriculum.

Our Processes
Spreading joy through learning
Project Udaan believes that consistent, joyful engagement builds lifelong skills. We achieve this through
Partnering with schools, families, and communities to reach children who need support most. Together, we create a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and encouraged. By working closely with teachers, we ensure that learning extends beyond the classroom.
Udaan’s program design and preparation center around giving children access to meaningful books and guided reading sessions. Each activity is carefully planned to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help them see the world with a broader, more informed perspective.
